I head up our talented team at St Julian’s Advisory and have almost 35 years of banking experience. A “veteran” I am told!

 

Whilst at HSBC for 27 years I was Group General Manager and Deputy CEO, Continental Europe before taking up a new challenge as CEO at Bank Dhofar in Muscat, Oman. I have been lucky enough to have led operations generating profits in excess of $3billion per annum and managed at its peak 31,000 people over 21 countries.

 

As an individual I always aim to respect and be respected by clients, colleagues and industry contacts with a reputation for getting things done and always doing the right thing.

 

During my career I have both led and chaired banks, insurance companies, custody and fund management businesses and have managed through both the good times as well as the bad. Risk awareness is a part of my DNA.

 

I am chairman of a large vehicle, motor and self storage company, a very successful IT group. I am also a guest speaker with EuroMoney, various business clubs and have set up an ambitious European yacht finance leasing operation.

 

I am continually told that I have bags of energy and determination as well as being a real team player with a strong vision and a passion for simplicity.

 

I am forever an optimist. I support Welsh soccer and rugby which are both enjoying great times and will take up golf when I’m older!
